How to interpret your dreams ?

What is a dream ?

A dream usually occurs during REM sleep (see our article on this topic).

Everyone dreams, but some people have an easier time remembering their dreams. There is no explanation for this, we are not all equal in this respect. It seems that this ability to dream diminishes with age.

Dreams draw their inspiration from concrete events experienced in real life but they are also generated by more abstract feelings linked to the unconscious.

The dream is therefore a complex mechanism still full of mysteries...

Understanding your dreams is a way to work on one's personal development and to know yourself more deeply. It is a way to dialogue with the unconscious and to prepare the future more serenely by becoming aware of certain problems.

Quartier Libre gives you advice on how to interpret your dreams :

- Put a pen and a notebook near your bed,

- Note down the "intense" moments of the dreamed events by selecting the most important moments of the dream.

- Refer to a dream dictionary to help you understand the meaning of your dreams.

- Once the potential meaning is in mind, put it in parallel with the current context and concrete events of life in order to make an emotional assessment.

Sweet dreams ! ;)
