How to sleep well during a heat wave?

Discover some tips to reproduce to sleep well despite the heat wave!

Is there anything more frustrating in the world than not being able to sleep when the mercury goes out?

For sleeping, the optimal temperature is between 16 and 21 degrees.

So when there's no air, you can't widen the windows and you've already taken off everything on your back, what do you do?

Here are some tips that can help our bodies and minds fight the summer heat.

TO DO :

- Place a cold washcloth or ice pack on your wrists and neck. You'll be surprised at how well this lowers your body temperature. Keeping your pulses cool makes your brain feel cool.

- Our extremities, feet and hands, allow us to regulate the temperature.

Cooling them helps to lower body temperature. Place a bucket of cold water next to your bed and soak your feet in it before you fall asleep.

- Invest in good quality linen, as much cotton or linen as possible. This ensures that you sleep in a material that breathes as much as possible. Natural fibers allow air to move freely and circulate through the fabric, keeping you as cool as possible at night.

The same rule applies to what you wear. So investing in lightweight, comfortable pyjamas is essential to sleeping well on those hot summer nights.

TO AVOID :

- Leave the windows open thinking that it will ventilate your home and lower the temperature. The temperature stays cooler when you close the windows and the curtains or shutters.

- Buy a cheap fan. The cheaper the fan, the more noise it will make, which is not very good for your sleep. Instead, turn to quieter, more efficient fans to make those times when moving around is really too difficult more enjoyable.

You are now ready to face the next days of heat wave.
